Title
Alameda Creek North Levee Improvement Project
Description
The Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District proposes to raise 8,650 linear feet of the north levee of Alameda Creek downstream of Union City Boulevard by approximately 4 feet between Union City Blvd. and the vicinity of Coyote Hills, in the City of Union City to provide 100-year flood protection. The project would require approximately 40,000 cubic yards of import levee material, to raise the levee height. The project also would require removal of about 210 trees. Following completion of the levee raising, the existing public access trail atop the levee would be replaced.
