Description: The project is an annexation to the District of approximately 478 acres of residential and agricultural zoned land. This land is currently in the process of being annexed into the City of Bakersfield where it will be zoned residential. The proposed annexation is located within the service area of the District's existing sewer trunk line. The project site is located within the District's Sphere of Influence. The annexation will allow the elimination of septic tanks that have been known to cause groundwater degradation. The District is currently providing sanitary sewer service to two established housing developments in the project area.
