Description: CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to section 1603 (SAA #5-145-00) of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Level (3) Communications. The applicant proposes to potentially divert and/or obstruct the natural flow, and/or change the bed, channel and/or bank of the of 7 perennial or intermittent streams by boring and placing fiber optic conduit beneath the streams' bed and banks, and proposes to impact (trench through) no-more than 16 unnamed ephemeral stream channels (non-vegetated waters of the State) in association with the construction of a fiber optic communication system.
