Reasons for Exemption
The Project described herein represents the recommended replacement of the seven existing digester centrifugal pumps at the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility (RWRF) that are no longer supported by the original manufacture or aftermarket supplies and for which Department of Public Utilities staff can no longer purchase replacements parts when the pumps are out of service. The Project will not expand the use of the existing facility, nor will it relocate any existing facilities or structures. Furthermore, none of the exceptions to Categorical Exemptions set forth in the CEQA Guidelines, Section 15300.2, apply to the project.
