Document Description
Project proposes to install a 13kwnGenerac generator with an automatic transfer switch at Castle Rock State Park which will provide power for necessary functions during outages or during Public Safety Power Shutoffs. The generator
will be placed 30 feet from a 250-gallon propane tank. Work will:
• Excavate a 20-ft x 2-ft trench, including cutting a 22.5-in. x 6-ft x 4-in. section from an existing sidewalk for the electrical;
• Install 2-inch electrical PVC and pull electrical wire to establish an electrical service
connection to an existing panel;
• Excavate a 28-ft x 18-in. trench and install an HDPE pipe for fuel connection between the generator and propane tank;
• Place a 54-in. x 31-in.x 4-in. plastic pre-molded generator pad and then place the 13kw Generac generator on top of the pad;
• Backfill propane and electrical line with sand/excavated soils; and
• Repave/repair the cut sidewalk
