Document Description
The Applicant proposes to construct and operate two replacement wells on two vacant lots within the system’s existing service area. The new West La Loma Drive Well No.2 and Contempo Well will replace Sutter’s Gold Well and Swansea Well. The Sutter’s Gold Well and Swansea Well were recently inactivated and destroyed. The new wells are not in the same locations as the old wells but will be used to serve the existing customers. Both new well sites will contain a well, a hydropneumatic tank on a 340 square-foot foundation, a chemical building on a 105 square-foot concrete foundation, a 180 square-foot pad for electrical panels and a shade structure, and a 112 square-foot emergency backup generator pad. Both lots will be covered in gravel. The existing fence at the Contempo Well site will be replaced with a seven-foot-tall iron fence or block wall and a new fence. The West La Loma Well site will have new site fencing, lighting, landscaping, and drainage. Each well will connect to the existing water system in the road adjacent to the well sites.
