The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is proposing a project at the westbound and eastbound Donner Summit Safety Roadside Rest Area (SRRA) in Nevada County on Interstate 80. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing potable water and sewer lines to the meet current standards. The existing potable water and sewer lines at the Donner Summit SRRA have reached the end of their life cycle, increasing the risk of failure.
