The applicant, Voight Holdings LLC, is requesting approval of a Major Use Permit
for two (2) A-Type 3B medium mixed light commercial cannabis cultivation licenses to occur in three phases over a three-year period of time, and one A-Type 13 ‘self-distribution’ license. The property is entirely within an area mapped as Farmland Protection Area, and greenhouse cultivation is required in this mapped area. There is an established agricultural use located immediately west and north of the proposed
cultivation site. Lake County Zoning Ordinance, Article 27, subsection (at) in part regulates cannabis cultivation in Lake County. The 40+ acre property is large enough to support these cannabis licenses; 20 acres per license is required. The applicant is pre-enrolled with the Regional Water Board. The applicant must meet all applicable local, state and federal requirements for cannabis cultivation.
