Document Description
The District has experienced numerous problems with their water system over the last several years, including dangerous deterioration of the Campbell Gulch water diversion structure, issues with capacity of supply wells, and finding viable sources of groundwater, and deterioration of their 65,000-gallon chlorine contact tank. The project aims to develop construction documents to replace the diversion structure and ensure the District can continue providing adequate supply to their customers, determine the feasibility of constructing a new well to increase system capacity and reliability, and rehabilitation or replacement of the contact tank to ensure the district can continue to provide appropriately treated and chlorinated water. The only ground-disturbing activities that will occur as part of this planning study are geotechnical investigations at the diversion structure and exploratory well drilling and locations to be determined within this planning study. These items are considered categorically exempt under the California Code of Regulations Title 14, Article 19, Section 15306.
