Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2020-0334-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Joe James, representing the Yurok Tribe. The project is designed to restore a degraded reach of Indian Creek that regularly disconnects from surface flow during late summer months with very little riparian habitat along the stream margin. The project will rehabilitate an approximately 3,000-foot alluvial valley bottom of the stream using a “stage-zero” restoration strategy to raise groundwater elevations and improve surface water connectivity.
