Document Description
UC Davis proposes to improve the existing Unitrans yard with upgraded electrical infrastructure to allow for charging 14 electric buses for the Unitrans Fleet. The project extends the underground 12 kV primary electrical feeder from the existing Davis campus electrical distribution system, installs 1500 kVA step down transformers, a new switchboard, electric meter, light poles, pull boxes and electrical manholes. Additional improvements include replacement of 20,000 SF of asphalt pavement in the Unitrans’ yard and construction of localized bio-retention area and swales to improve stormwater discharge quality. The project is located at the Unitrans’ Operations and Maintenance Facility yard on Garrod Road south of La Rue Road and east of State Route 113.
