Categorical Exemption
Type, Section or Code
§ 15301; 15303
Reasons for Exemption
The project will implement various efficiency measures by the food processor at their Yuba City facility. The commercially available technology that will be installed includes air compressors, boilers, and boiler-related equipment including steam traps, automatic blowdown heat recovery, and condensate return. The results of the project will be determined through a measurement and verification period, which will quantify greenhouse gas reductions and energy savings across all facilities. 14. C. C. R. 15301: The project involves minor alteration of existing facilities and mechanical equipment. Energy efficient equipment will be installed at existing food processing facilities. Some of the equipment will be replacements of old equipment, such as new air compressors and boilers. These installations will be minor alterations to mechanical equipment and the facility, with no expansion beyond the existing use of the food processing facilities and will not have significant effect on the environment.
