Document Description
The project is limited to year-round direct diversion of surface water from Reading Creek for domestic purposes only. Water will be diverted via gravity feed through a one-inch PVC pipe to a 500-gallon hard plastic tank, which will pump water using a solar-pump on an as-needed basis to the residential area. The intake of the 1-inch pipe will be screened with material containing no openings larger than 3/32- inch in diameter. No surface water will be used for commercial cannabis irrigation.

Reasons for Exemption
The project permits the installation of a new small diversion facility that will limit the diversion rate to 1 gallon per minute when the stream is at baseflow. The project consists of the construction of one new, small facility for non-commercial purposes. There will be no significant adverse impacts on endangered, rare, or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15065.
