Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is financing the Project referred to internally as Manhattan Wellfield On-site Hypochlorite Generation Station. The Project includes an upgrade to the existing chlorination station, which currently uses gaseous chlorine. The new system will be an on-site hypochlorite generation system. It will be designed to treat a water volume up to 30 cubic feet per second, with a much lower concentration of chlorine. The building that will house the station will be similar in size and located close to the existing ammoniation station.
