Document Description
Idyllwild Residence 1 is a 1930s CCC-built, National Register listed property. Electrical wiring is original to the 1930s and does not meet current safety codes. The building will be entirely re-wired to meet modern building and safety code. Similarly, the cedar shake roof is at the end of its lifespan and does not meet fire code; in the event of wildfire, this building would be tagged as indefensible. The roof will be replaced and brought to code. Residence 2: the sole bathroom in this residence is failing. Severe leaks from the tub fixture have gotten into the walls and floor joists creating some severe mold/mildew issues thus a potential health hazard for the residents. The bathroom will be remediated for mold mildew and dry rot, in addition to replacing floor joists, wall framing, and fixtures. DPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project. A copy of these requirements may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator.
