Document Description
Caltrans proposes to improve the load rating of the CA Aqueduct Bridge (Bridge #50-0321 L/R) to comply with the I-5 Freight Corridor standard. The project proposes to remove the existing asphalt concrete overlay, replace seal joints, construct approach and departure slabs, and overlay with 0.75 in of polyester concrete at both the southbound and northbound spans of the bridge. The project also proposes to replace the median metal beam guardrail with a concrete barrier. The outside metal beam guardrails at both bridge approaches would be replaced with standard metal beam guardrails.
