Document Description
City of Turlock is currently in the planning, design, and environmental review stages of an alternate transportation project located on Linwood Avenue between Lander Avenue and West Avenue South (hereinafter referred to as the "Proposed Project"). The Proposed project area consists of paved impermeable surfacing with existing developed parcels improved with curb, gutter ,and sidewalk. The lands surrounding the project area primarily consist of residential, commercial, an elementary school, a fusion charter school and vacant land. Linwood Avenue is designated as a Major Collector under the City's General Plan. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and encourage alternate transportation for pedestrians and cyclists through installing curb, gutter, and sidewalk, lighting, bicycle lanes, and installing accessible paths for persons with disabilities.
