The overarching goal of the proposed program is to establish a regulatory licensing program that would ensure that commercial cannabis cultivation operations would be performed in a manner that protects the general public, cannabis cultivation workers, and the environment from the individual and cumulative effects of these operations, and fully complies with all applicable laws. An additional purpose is to establish a track and trace program to ensure the movement of medical and adult-use cannabis items are tracked throughout the production chain.
