Document Description
On 8/9/16, DSH adopted a MND and approved the Metropolitan State Hospital (MSH) Modernization Project (Increase Secure Bed Capacity Project No. 160663) to increase the hospital's bed capacity by 250 patients/beds and 550 employees. The adopted MND included mitigation for traffic impacts (to install a second southbound left turn lane and remove the southbound right-turn lane at the intersection of Bloomfield Ave./Imperial Hwy). Due to new guidelines on staff to patient ratios, DSH approved an update to the project and determined that new staffline will not exceed 391 employees. Based on an updated traffic analysis, traffic mitigation is no longer necessary and is removed.
