Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is issuing a permit to Manette Sandor pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 2018(a) for a project to study the effect of climate change on frugivory and seed dispersal in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. The project will involve surveying plants and mist-netting birds to collect bird fecal samples at specified sampling points. Georeferenced presence/absence data for fleshy-fruited shrubs will be collected to develop hierarchical plant species disturbution models. The permit issued by California Department of Fish and Wildlife will cover the take, possession and transportion of seeds from state-listed plant species that may be collected as a result of the Project.
