Document Description
Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) has elevated concentrations of total dissolved solids (TDS) in the potable water sources. As a result of high TDS in the portable water supply, the treated effluent from EVMWD's Regional Water Reclamation Facility is high in TDS. Consequently, the Regional Water Quality Board, Santa Ana Region, required EVMWD to prepare a TDS Offset Plan. The plan has found that construction of a desalter will be necessary and the facility must commence operation by 2017.
