Document Description
The project consists of the installation of a district monument on the corner of Main Street and Old Mammoth Road. The district monument shall be placed between the trails system fork, allowing pedestrians either to cross Old Mammoth road to remain parallel with Main Street or to turn right to travel down Old Mammoth Road. The monument shall be placed in existing right-of-way in previously disturbed areas.

The new construction of a district monument is categorically exempt under New Construction or Conversion of Existing Structures 15303 (e). Construction will occur within the shoulder of pre-existing pedestrian trails and minimally affect the area other than the footing location of the monument final placement; therefore, these follow the criteria of "construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures."
