The proposed project includes renovations and additions to existing health care facilities, the construction of small new facilities, and associated infrastructure improvements, all within the developed area of Wasco State Prison. Improvements at the institution would include a total of 16,362 square feet of renovation, 23,497 square feet of new buildings or additions and 7,050 square feet of additional exterior impervious surface (walkways). All construction would be consistent in character, design, and height with other existing buildings and would not exceed one story. No high-mast lighting would be installed as part of the project. No new inmate beds. Nine new employees.
