Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-20116-0473-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Mendocino County Department of Transportation. Project is limited encroachment. A new bridge will be constructed beside the existing bridge, and upon completion of the new bridge, the original bridge will be removed and the banks restored. The work will require bypassing flow and creating a work platform upon approx. 140 feet of Davis Creek. New bridge abutments will be cast-in-place concrete located above the 100-year flood flow line, and the bridges itself will be cast-in-place concrete built on falsework. Rock slope protection will be placed at the toes of the abutments, but above the ordinary high water mark. The abutments, wingwalls, and a retaining wall will be founded on pile-driven steel piles. Pile driving will not occur within or immediately adjacent to the active channel.
