The project would renovate the 448 bed Saxon Suites (87,800 gsf) undergraduate residential complex, with no expansion of beds or population, and replace the existing 1-story 2,100 gsf service building with a 5,700 gsf (net 3,600 gsf) common building to better serve the residents of the complex. Furthermore, per CEQA Section 15300.2, none of the exceptions to a Categorical Exemption would apply.
