Document Description
This project, to be carried out by the Solano Community College Department of Horticulture Science, involves the planting of 46 trees in the orchard to replace trees that were destroyed by fire. It is anticipated that this project will commence in March 2013, and be completed by March 2015. Trees will be native and non-native ornamentals that have been selected for their disease resistance, adaption to the urban landscape, shade capacity, and minimal litter production. Trees will be planted using 15 gallon commercial stock. All trees will be planted, staked and tied, watered and maintained in accordance with CAL FIRE guidelines.
