Document Description
The project is the adoption of general waste discharge requirements for aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) projects that inject drinking water into groundwater (Order). After adoption by the State Water Resources Control Board, the Regional Water Quality Control Boards would use this Order to permit ASR Projects within their jurisdictions that meet the criteria in the Order. Aquifer storage and recovery is the injection of water through a well into an aquifer when water is available and the recovery of this water, usually through the same well, when it is needed.
