Document Description
The Clear Lake Core Drilling Project consists of drilling two, 3-inch in diameter, 394-foot deep sediment cores from the Upper Arm of Clear Lake for scientific research. Drilling will proceed form a barge assembled from 8 shipping containers using a 50-ton crane. To minimize disturbance to the water column, sediment cores will be collected using hydraulic piston methods within a coring chamber oriented on the lake bed.
