Document Description
An 19 hole disk (frisbee) golf course is proposed to be developed at Junipero Serra County Park by San Mateo County Parks Department in partnership with the Peninsula Disc Golf Club. The disk golf course has been designed to avoid intersecting existing trails, and the proposed course would be laid out in a currently underutilized section of the park. he course is anticipated to be used during the daytime hours only when the Park is open to the public. An informational kiosk with map brochures of the course and an explanation of the rules and regulations of the game will be placed in the Meadow View parking lot as will a new Iron Ranger to collect parking fees. The disk golf course will be made up to 19 mounted disk baskets (holes) that will have small signs indicating the hole number and directions to the next hole, and 6 x 12 foot wood framed crushed graveled tees. Each graveled tee will be converted by 5 x 10 feet of recycled rubber surface. An informational sign will be provided at the 1st hole. In order to provide clearance for the course some Eucalyptus trees will be limbed, there will be limited brushing.
