Document Description
Caltrans, in coopertation with the City of Tracy, proposes to construct interchange improvements, freeway auxiliary lanes, and connecting roadways near the junction of I-205 and Eleventh Street (formerly Old US 50) in San Joaquin County. The interchange improvements would reconstruct or eliminate the existing interchange at Eleventh Street/I-205 to provide full ramp movements at a new location. A new roadway segment would connect to the proposed interchange improvements, extending south from Byron Road, crossing I-205 with a grade-separated structure, and connecting to the existing intersection of Lammers Road/Eleventh Street in the City of Tracy. The proposed project would provide a modified connection to I-205 to serve the increase in forecasted traffic demand at surrounding interchanges. The improved interchange would increase accessibility to and from I-205, thereby reducing motorist dependency and congestion at adjacent interchanges.
