Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 (SAA #1600-2011-0118-R6) of the Fish and Game Code to the project Permittee, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The Permittee proposes to implement the Phase 8 dust mitigation area on 2.03 square miles of playa Owens Lakebed to reduce PM emissions. Approximately 1.04 million tons of gravel will be distributed in a 4" thick layer layer screened to greater than 1/2" and will be placed over an approximately 2mm thick permeable geotextile fabric to prevent gravel from settling into playa sediments.
