Up to approximately 7.2 acres of ephemeral stream channels would be disturbed by removing pipelines that cross these drainages. Backhoes and other equipment would be used to expose buried lines, which would be flushed and cleaned with water. Cleaning water would be treated on-site to remove petroleum products or disposed of at an appropriate off-site facility. Pipes would be capped or plugged before being removed. All pipes would be recycled or disposed of in accordance with all applicable laws. Upon completion of removal. all disturbed sites would be restored to preconstruction conditions. Approximately 90 percent of existing pipelines would be removed from the fields.
