The water will be released from Goodwin Dam into the Stanislaus River during the months of July-September 2009. The water will be pumped at the State Water Project's Banks Pumping Plant utilizing its excess capacity. Transferred water will be delivered to SLDMWA member agencies participating in the SLDMWA 2009 Pooled Water Transfer Program to benefit agricultural water users within their respective service areas, in order to provide a small incremental water supply to supplement their allocations under CVP water service contracts, currently at 10%.
