Pursuant to California Code of Regulations, title 22, section 66270.42(e)(3)(C)5, the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) approved the implementation of Landfill B-18 bench slope design change as a result to an increased Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP) from 7.4 inches to 10.3 inches at the Chemical Waste Management, Inc - Kettleman Hills Facility (KHF). KHF will continue to employ the final cover system established in the DTSC Permit and described in the approved Closure Plan, section 15.3(b) of the Operation Plan, as well as within the Waste Discharge Requirements (WDR) Order No. 98-058, Discharge Specifications B.35.
