Document Description
The project is for Mendocino City Community Services District to repair an existing access road and to install a telephone line in the existing easement to the Main Street Lift Station located 190 feet south of the intersection of Lansing St. and Main St. on State Park land. The road was installed in 1974. The existing road was for routine maintenance of the pump station and to provide access for emergency vehicles, if needed at the site. The lift station telephone line will be used for an emergency dialer to alert District personnel of a power outage or equipment failure. Both the telephone line and the road improvements are required to help prevent Sanitary Sewer Overflows and for safety. The project consists of digging a 190-ft long x 2-ft deep trench for a 2-inch conduit for the telephone line. Repairs to the road include removal of vegetation from the easement, re-rocking of the existing 12 foot access road, 95% compaction of fill and road aggregate, installing 4-feet wide x 2-feet deep ditches on both sides of the road, and paving the road from the County road (Main Street) tot eh State Park property line.
