Document Description
The Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) Moreno Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility (MVRWRF) collects and treats municipal sewage and produces recycled water for reuse. This facility currently has a reliable treatment capacity of about 11.6 million gallons per day (MGD). The MVRWRF service area is experiencing a high growth rate and based on current sewage flow projections, the MVRWRF's treatment capacity must be increased. To accomodate projected sewer flow increases in the service area, EMWD is proposing to expand the MVRWRF's raw sewage capacity to 18 MGD. EMWD will construct new facilities and modify existing facilities at the MVRWRF. Upon completion, the proposed plant expansion will provide greater treatment capacity as well as more effective and efficient operation of the treatment facilities.
