Document Description
Approval of a General Plan Amendment that changes the time frames or estimated completion dates of program 2.1 of the City of Carlsbad 2005-2010 Housing Element. This program calls for the city to complete, by certain dates, various land use actions (e.g., General plan and zoning changes) to meet its regional Housing Needs Assessment ("adequate sites") requirement. The project revises these dates. The project also approves an Addendum to the previously adopted Mitigated Negative Declaration for the 2005-2010 Housing Element. The Addendum describes the changes to Program 2.1 as well as changes to assumptions regarding development of future affordable housing that were noted in the city's 201 Annual Housing Element Progress Report.
