Document Description
A failed 122' long at-grade stream crossing on Malibu Creek that is causing downstream scour and upstream sediment deposition will be removed so that the stream can be restored. A double culvert crossing on Las Virgenes Creek will be removed and replaced with a 80' x 20' bridge. The abutments will be placed outside the bank-full flows. Both of the structures to be removed constitute fish barriers.

Reasons for Exemption
No potential for significant impacts to the environment is anticipated. A resource ecologist will ensure avoidance of significant impacts to natural resources. An archaeologist will ensure avoidance of significant impacts to cultural resources. New structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced (class 2). Project will result in the improvement of habitat for fish and wildlife resources (class 4d).
