The Palm Desert Comprehensive General Plan Update is a major revision and expansion of the City's General Plan with 23 elements within four chapters. The total planning area encompasses 86,199+/- acres, of which approximately 16,063.8 acres are within the City's corporate limits, and 70,135+/- acres are unincorporated City Sphere-of-Influence and other unincorporated lands. Goals, policies, and programs have been prepared for each element and comprehensive land use, traffic and other analyses are underway.
