Document Description
The County Public Work Department is proposing to replace the two existing nine-foot diameter culverts that cross under Santa Rosa Creek Road at Curti Creek, a tributary of Santa Rosa Creek. The culverts exhibit extensive corrosion and erosion has exposed the outlet ends of the culverts claiming the road shoulder and a portion of the roadway itself. The project involves the cut/removal of overlaying asphalt-concrete pavement; removal of the existing culverts; over excavation of the base of the slope; backfilling with sandy gravel or native soil; keying in and rebuilding the slope and road shoulder with 1 to 4 ton rock or gabion wire baskets; installation of new culverts; placing soil fill in/around culverts and rock and revegetation with live willow cuttings at 3 feet on center.
