Document Description
Decommission approximately 250-300 linear feet of the Westridge Trail at The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park and construct a new trail section parallel to existing route to eliminate poor trail alignment, hazardous trail conditions, and damage to natural resources. Decommissioned trail segment will be rehabilitated by constructing a series of check and soil dams with native materials on-site, within the entrenched area. No chainsaw or tree removal work will occur from January 15 thru September 30, unless surveys determine no raptors are nesting in the vicinity of the project site. Project will protect public safety, improve accessibility, and eliminate existing entrenchment/erosion by restoring natural drainage patterns on decommissioned portions of trail.
