Document Description
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) proposes to perform annual preventative maintenance of the Corona and Temescal hydroelectric power plants located in the city of Corona and unincorporated Riverside County, respectively. The proposed project involves maintenance and testing on switchyard equipment, generator, turbine, and auxiliary systems. The work will involve electrical and mechanical checks on equipment at the power plants. In addition, Metropolitan proposes to shutdown and dewater portions of the Lower Feeder pipeline at locations from Lake Mathews to the city of Corona in order to perform maintenance work at various locations. Discharged flow will be contained to existing natural and man-made drainage channels and catch basins adjacent to the discharge locations.
