The proposed project consists of the demolition of both the existing Mitchell Park Library, a civic facility on approximately 11,000 square feet, and the existing Mitchell Park Community Center, approximately 10,000 square feet, and construct a new two-story library of approximately 55,000 square feet and a new community center of approximately 17,000 square feet, or a single joint use facility of approximately 70,000 square feet on an approximate four acre easterly portion of the approximate 22 acre Mitchell Park, a community park in the City of Palo Alto.
