Document Description
The proposed activity consists of expansion of an existing import/export facility operated by Central Valley Ag Group, in the central part of the Port's West Complex. CVAG has an existing lease with the Port and currently uses Building 807 and 808 for mixing, grinding, pelletizing, and storing commodity dairy cow feed, and Building 711 for petroleum coke trans loading. Lots 807 and 808 were previously used as shipping container storage and shipping yards but were recently cleaned and leveled and are now used for short-term storage and shipment of feed containers. Under the proposed project, the Port would renew the CVAG lease and CVAG would use Building 711 for both petroleum coke and gold ore trans loading. Products would be unloaded from incoming rail cars and trans loaded to containers for export. In short term, CVAG would continue to use Lots 807 and 808 for storage abd shipment of feed containers. As demand grows, CVAG plans to expand import/export operatuins in Buildings 711, 807, and 808 and at Lots 807 and 808. Under the proposed project, outbound trucks are expected to increase from 600 to 800 annually and rail cars would increase by 200 annually. NOTE: See NOD for full descriptions
