Document Description
This project involves construction of a 150-foot diameter, 40-foot high 4-million gallon (mg) steel recycled water tank on a vacant 10-acre parcel at 1,380 feet above mean sea level. The new tank would replace an existing 0.3 mg concrete recycled water tank, which will be demolished and removed. Site access would be via existing roads upgraded with an all-weather surface. Generally, project construction will involve clearing the construction area of vegetation and grading the site to provide a level surface. The tank will be located on the site to avoid tree removal. Construction will commence in spring 2002, and will involve excavators, graders, cranes, and other typical construction equipment. Approximately 250 lineal feet of ductile iron pipe (DIP) will connect the new tank to the existing recycled water distribution system. The tank is expected to be completed in fall 2002.
