Document Description
The project is the construction of a single-family residence and associated structures near Laguna Creek in the Town of Moraga, Contra Costa County. A single-family residence and a garage and carport will be constructed on one side of Laguna Creek, and a workshop will be constructed on the other side. All structures are approximately a minimum of 30 feet from Laguna Creek and will need construction activities to occur just below top of bank. Some grading and excavation for pier replacement will occur on the upper banks of Laguna Creek. Most of the area has been previously leveled for building construction. The project will require cutting of one large willow for the garage and carport construction and a number of trunks of a multiple-trunked oak for construction of the residence. A few smaller trees, less than three inches dbh, may need to be cut or removed. A number of branches will need to be trimmed on other trees. The project will remain on the upper banks of Laguna Creek and will not affect the stream course, water flow, or sedimentation to the creek. No bridge is proposed for construction as part of this project. Issuance of Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0157 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
