Document Description
Replace damaged tile mosaics of Roman Pool decking at Hearst San Simeon State Historic Monument. Mosaics will be replaced exactly as original, with glass and gold tile replaced in kind. Use of templates is required. Polymer modified mortar will be used in place of original adhesive to provide superior bonding with subbase and improve durability in high traffic visitor areas. Original condition of repaired areas will be documented with photographs and identified on an as-built plan. All work will be conducted in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
