Document Description
The project proposes a Specific Plan Amendment to allow the construction of a cellular telecommunications facility. The proposed project is designated to be compatible with the existing Inn facility and adjacent land uses. The project proponent, Nextel, proposes to install six wireless communications panel antennas on an existing 40-foot wooden pole. There are currently two wood crossbeams, wood mast arms, and power lines. Nextel proposes to remove one wooden pole, crossbeams, and mast arms, relocate the existing transformers to ground level and underground the power lines. Nextel will also remove an existing 45-foot television antenna. The only structure to remain is a 40-foot monopole with antennas. The telecommunications equipment will be installed in 200 square feet of existing, adjacent building. Coaxial cables will run underground from the monopole to the equipment area.
