The Arts Center would be a newly constructed complex in downtown Modesto. The center will have a main stage theater with 1,200 seats, a multi-use theater of approximately 400 seats, and a gallery space for the display of visual art. The total required building area was determined to be approximately 82,000 square feet. It would be located in the block in downtown Modesto bordered by 10th, 11th, H and I streets. It is completely within the City limits of Modesto, within a redevelopment area created by Modesto in the 1990's.
