Document Description
The Department proposes to acquire: 15,000 acre-feet of water from Westside Mutual Water Company from the Kern Water Bank; 55,000 acre-feet of water from Westside Mutual Water Company/Tejon Castaic Water District/Dudley Ridge Water District from the Kern Water Bank; and 28,500 acre-feet of Year 2001 groundwater storage capacity in the Kern Water Bank. The recovery of water stored in the Kern Water Bank could involve delivery in to San Luis Reservoir by and exchange of State Water Project entitlement water and/or direct pump-back of the water into the California Aqueduct. The acquired water and storage will be used for the first year EWA program.
